Dear Fellow Retailers

I am disappointed to tell you that after much consideration I have decided to stop boycotting Vodafone.

The reduction Vodafone propose will directly affect the profitability of my business and could threaten my ability to continue to provide electronic bill payment through my stores. In every respect my boycott was about protecting the future of small local stores and the communities we serve. I hope Vodafone understand why we feel so strongly about this rate reduction. As a community retailer I have a responsibility to serve my customers many of whom rely upon the services I provide.

I have taken the decision to end my boycott as I am reluctant to inconvenience my customers further. I value their business enormously.

I am currently not planning any more boycotts. I also don't believe that I can continue to ask other retailers to support my boycott as they may potentially breach any direct contractual agreements that they may have with their service providers.

I know from the many messages of support I have received that individual retailers may want to continue with their action. I wish them success.

All the best
